The weather in Portland this winter season has been nothing short of unexpected and eventful, especially with the historic snowstorm that happened early January. The metro area saw more than a foot of snow, which left the city with icy roads, extreme traffic, and down trees. Along many roads, including I-5, you can see abandoned cars that couldn’t make the trek through the snow, including some Portland buses as well. Some people endured closed schools and offices, power outages, and even collapsed roofs.
Despite the crazy weather, Portlanders know how to take the snow in stride! Many people broke out their skis and snowboards and enjoyed their snow day. Other Portland residents that enjoyed the snow were the animals of the Portland Zoo! The video of elephants, seals, and polar bears playing in the snow went viral and you can find the video on many national news outlets!
From all the Brokers here at Soldera, we hope you are staying safe and enjoying your time in the snow!
