Celebrate July 4th in Lake Oswego

Lake Oswego's Star Spangled Parade and Celebration: The Star Spangled Parade, featuring classic cars, an authentic fife and drum band and more begins 10 a.m. at Lake Garden Court, off of Iron Mountain Road. The parade continues down A Avenue and makes its way to Millennium Plaza Park at First and Evergreen.

Upon arriving at Millennium Plaza Park, the party continues until 2:00 p.m.  Fun activities include a pie eating contest, food, face-painting, balloon animals, and live music.

Lake Oswego's Annual Boat Parade: Between 12 and 1:00 p.m. patriotically decorated boats line up near the Lake Grove Swim Park for a parade around Oswego Lake. Good viewing areas include Stickmen’s Brewery, the deck off of the Lake Theatre and Café, and Millenium Plaza Park.

Lake Oswego's Fireworks Show on the Lake:  The Lake Corporation hosts a spectacular annual fireworks show from a floating barge in Oswego Lake. While some of the best viewing is from waterfront homes, the Lake Grove Swim Park and the Oswego Canal Bridge are popular (and crowded) viewing spots as well.  The show starts at 9:45 p.m.
