Sunrise in the City of Lake Oswego Celebration: Join the McVey-South Shore Neighborhood Association at noon on Saturday, June 14th for the celebratory unveiling of Lake Oswego’s newest artistic outdoor sculpture. Sunrise in the City, by artist, Jesse Swickard, is literally under wraps until Saturday’s celebration at the triangle at McVey Avenue and Laurel Street in Lake Oswego. The abstract steel sculpture adds to Lake Oswego’s famous Gallery Without Walls outdoor art collection, a model for other public art programs, and adorns one of the main gateways into the City of Lake Oswego. The collaborative 3 year effort of the Neighborhood Association and the City of Lake Oswego’s Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program brought the vision to fruition, adding beauty and character to the surrounding neighborhood. The party includes free pizza and fun for all!
